The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus is coming to my town and I want to take my family. I've never been to this type of event and I would like to know some information on it before I decide to purchase tickets. I would be taking my parents,my brother which is 14 yrs old as well as my fiance, so there won't be small children. Basically I just want to know if its worth dishing out about 100 bucks for this event
Answer :
Its quite a spectacular sight or at least it was when the original ringling brothers did it. They have since retired and another generation has taken over. Its very energetic and the feats amazed even me as an adult the atmosphere is one that would evoke a youthful energy in the old so parents will love its great clean fun a good chance for you and your fiance to spend some time with the folks and your teenage bro will be all agog by the trapzee girls. The things they do with black lights and neons these days really give a neat newness to those age old antics. Have a brilliant time and hope the show gives you fond memories.
Answer :
I really enjoyed it the last time I went to see them. It was well worth the money. But, that was back in 1975.
Answer :
If you have never been it is a fun family outing. However if you are looking to be shocked keep in mind that this is good family fun and these days there is little that impresses our jaded souls.

I went like 2 years ago and had an awesome time- i was about 18 yrs old. I went with a 9 year old and a 7 year old and they were mesmerized! It was a great show and I found the acts amazing!!!! I loved the trapeze artists, although one guy got hurt but I think he turned out ok in the end! I would highly reccommend it- it is well worth any 100 bucks!

Answer :
We took our kids (1&2) last fall and had a good time. It was fun to go and probably easier if you don't have little kids with you. We all had a good time, but it wasn't something we talked about for weeks after. Keep in mind, I myself don't particularly like circuses to begin with.
Answer :
If you, your brother, and your fiance haven't seen a circus, it is definitely worth seeing, and being there in person. Have you seen a whole circus anywhere on TV or movies? It's so much more. They don't use as many live wild animals that they used to, but I'm sure they have plenty and elephants galore. I can still remember the first one I saw like it happened yesterday. I was absolutely completely awed. And I'll never forget the first cotton candy I ever had. I think it was great, but I was still pretty young.
